Un impresionante documento que yo desconocía referente a las Torre Gemelas de Nueva York.
Son imágenes del nacimiento, la vida y la muerte de estos iconos , ya para siempre, de la City.
No tiene esta presentación en Power Point, música alguna. Ni falta que le hace.
Solo decir que impresiona. A mi por lo menos, y ya he visto bastantes trabajos similares

Muchos de los viajeros que van a visitar la ciudad de Nueva York, se plantean una duda para ellos casi existencial.
A cual de los dos observatorios por antonomasia, de la ciudad de Nueva York debo de subir? El Empire State Building o a The Top of the Rock?
La respuesta es bien sencilla : A LOS DOS.
Porque subir al ESB es cumplir con uno de los requisitos imprescindibles de todo visitante a NYC ,Subir al icono de la ciudad. Y… cuando subir? Pues un día claro por la tarde noche para poder contemplar las vista del Downtown.Y que se te haga de noche allí arriba.
Y….
Porque subir al TOR? Porque no solo veras las mejores vistas de Central Park y del Hudson ,sino que podrás admirar en toda su magnificencia el icono: El Empire State Building. Cuando subir? Pues lo mismo, por la tarde – noche , porque veras Central Park de dia y podrás ver Manhattan de noche que es una imagen inolvidable.
Aquí tenéis información de cada uno de ellos e incluso unos videos para que os hagáis una idea.
El Empire State está en el 350 de la Quinta Avenida, con sus 102 pisos que fueron antaño la admiración del universo, al ser el edificio más alto del mundo con 450 metros de altura.
En los años setenta quedó desplazado por nuevas edificaciones de este estilo como la torre Sears de Chicago.
Todo es tremendo: 650.000 metros cuadrados de superficie útil, 6.500 ventanas, 73 ascensores, 2.500.000 visitantes año…
Inaugurado en 1931, pronto fue noticia por todo tipo de acciones: desde los suicidas que elegían este lugar como emblema hasta los productores de cine, que colocaron aquí a las estrella, King Kong, entre otras.
Es muy interesante el panorama desde lo alto, especialmente a la puesta del sol
Subir al Empire State Building es una de las atracciones más interesantes de la ciudad. En el hall del edificio nos encontraremos un tablón que muestra las condiciones climáticas y la visibilidad (distancia en millas que puede alcanzarse con la vista ese día), así como el tiempo de cola para acceder al punto de observación.
Si subimos de día conviene hacerlo en un día soleado y claro, para poder contemplar mejor los edificios.
Es interesante la visita por el día, puesto que Manhattan es impresionante y desde el Empire State se domina toda la isla y parte de los alrededores. Pero también es muy recomendable subir por la noche, para ver el juego de luces de la ciudad.
Algunos aconsejan subir de día al Rockefeller Center y de noche al Empire State.
Lo que es un poco pesada es la cola para el acceso al observatorio. Nos hacen pasar por un lugar donde nos hacen una foto y por otro sitio donde nos venden la típica locución para explicar los detalles de la vista. Sinceramente, parece sólo una manera más de sacarle el dinero al turista. La vista de por sí es suficientemente impactante como para que sobren las explicaciones o nos digan cuál es cada edificio.

La contrapartida al mirador del Empire State, con sus interminables filas de turistas, es el Top of the Rock, en el Rockefeller Center . Reabierto desde el 2005, el observatorio del Rockefeller ofrece algunas de las mejores vistas de la ciudad.
El complejo, con varios niveles dedicados a los turistas, permite vistas panorámicas de la ciudad, ocupando los pisos 67 a 70. La diferencia con otros miradores de la ciudad, es que permite vistas inmejorables de la zona del Central Park, y sobre todo, que a veces no hay que esperar tanto para ingresar. El complejo permite entradas con horarios reservados, exposiciones, y paneles de cristal de protección que facilitan la visión sin obstáculos.
Los mejores ángulos nos permiten observar el Edificio Chrysler, Central Park, y el río Hudson, todo con el mar de rascacielos de Manhattan.
El acceso a Top of the Rock, se encuentra en la fachada principal del complejo, en la calle 50 entre avenidas 5 y 6. El costo de la entrada es de 17 dólares y cuenta con un sistema que permite horarios reservados que facilitan la organización y flexibilizan los tiempos de espera. La entrada incluye visitas a exposiciones, y el acceso al complejo en el piso 67, conociendo la historia del Rockefeller Center. Una vez en el “cielo” podremos recorrer las distintas terrazas y habitaciones, disfrutar de las vistas a 360º, y sobre todo, conocer en detalle una de las maravillas arquitectónicas de la ciudad.
